Next information session
Information sessions about our preschool are held regularly for prospective parents. These information sessions enable you to see our classroom, get some Montessori information and have your questions answered. Please contact us to rsvp.
Please note: Children are welcome but be aware that they may be a distraction and you will have to watch them. A Montessori classroom is a very exciting place for young children, but it is not a toy room. Be aware that the classroom is set up for three, four and five year olds and that there will be small and/or sharp objects (scissors) in the classroom, in case your have a crawling baby or a toddler who likes to put items in their mouth.

Peace Pole Dedication - Montessori day 2010
Maria Montessori firmly believed in the importance of education for the attainment of world peace, and was nominated for the Nobel Peace prize three times. There are more than 250,000 Peace Poles in 180 countries all over the world. Please join us and our local Iwi and Mayor for a special blessing and dedication ceremony, celebrating Montessori day.

Working bee
The children and teachers invite all parents to join us for a working bee morning or afternoon to make our garden beds and celebrate with a shared lunch.

You are invited! Montessori in the Classroom
Our teachers will talk about Montessori in the Classroom. They will answer questions like why children work on mats, what is a workcycle, what is a three period lesson and what is normalisation? This is an evening for parents and prospective parents, no children please (except infants). RSVP.

Family Earth Day Walk
The children and teachers of Little Earth are looking forward to celebrating the earth and the wonderful gifts it brings to each and every one of us with a family walk to Nikau Reserve. We will have a walk through the reserve. Bring morning tea for a little picnic afterwards.

Our teachers will talk about Montessori in the Home. They will share with you ideas about how you can incorporate Montessori activities and philosophy into your home and parenting style.

You are invited! Outdoor Rockz
Our vision is to provide a high quality early childhood education for three to six years olds in an environmental friendly, sustainable environment where children can experience the beauty of nature and nurture their sense of wonder and be engaged in a holistic, nurturing and natural way. We strive to create a green and healthy place for our children. We are currently in the proces of designing and developing an integrated outdoor naturalised environment following permaculture design principles. We are hosting a parent evening to share and discuss a draft of ideas we have for our outdoor area and we would like to hear your feedback.
